Split/Second game director, producer form RoundCube Entertainment

Two of Black Rock Studios’ biggest players have decided to form their own thing: RoundCube Entertainment. Nick Baynes, game director on Split/Second , will head up the new outfit, while Ian Monaghan, previously senior producer at Black Rock, will now act as development director

This launch trailer for Hunted: The Demon’s Forge doesn’t do the game too many favors, unfortunately, as it’s a little dark and too chaotic to show off much of the co-op-centered gameplay. Super Meat Boy Steam update adds the Unknown

There’s nothing random about Super Meat Boy ’s highly regimented gauntlet of intricate murder machines and carefully measured series of gaps. However, the challenging platformer’s latest Steam update has thrown a bit of chance into the mix: Players can now “Enter the Unknown” via the game’s main menu, which creates a full 20-level chapter for them to play through using a random selection of levels picked from the Super Meat World portal. The update also adds a chapter recommendation feature, as well as a new navigation option that lets you rank levels based on their fun or difficulty — two metrics which players can vote on after playing through a chapter

THQ’s Huw Beynon (that’s pronounced “Hugh” by the way) calls last year’s Metro 2033 “a flawed masterpiece.” The Ukranian-developed shooter somehow managed to over-deliver on some of the rarest components and fail on the most obvious one; a mountain of wonderful flourishes toppled by a clumsy and downright bad combat system. 4A Games nailed the bleak, post-apocalyptic tone, coupled it with survival horror-esque resource management (like the necessity to monitor your gas mask filters), and layered in home-brewed weapons like the pneumatic shotgun which you pressurize, air pump-style

Developer Certain Affinity cleared up some of the mystery surrounding Crimson Alliance , a game first spotted — with the company’s name attached — on Australian and Brazilian ratings boards. For one thing, we now have the crucial information of what the logo looks like (see it in our gallery).
